Fire and Life-Safety inspection of the JUMP bldg, for TCO of a small amount (10-15) of staff personnel to access the building for start-up purposes - No public access at this time.
Followup inspection from this morning, including covering up some exit signs for exit stairs that are not in service at this time. Fire protection systems and fire alarm systems are fully operational and shall be kept in service at all times. There may be times when systems have to be taken off line for maint. purposes, however these systems shall always be put back into service at the end of shift.
Exit gates have been identified, and fitted with panic hardware. Egress paths are in place, however some of these walkways from the JUMP structure to the public way may be temporary. Temp. exit signs were also posted to aid staff to the nearest exit gate at grade level.
Fire is OK with TCO for this small amount of staff while the building is being completed.

Test of the area of refuge emergency communication system. Floors 1 thru 3 tested satisfactorily, however floor # 4 did not call out. Contractor agreed to trouble shoot problem and will schedule a final inspection when corrected.

Retest of the exit signs and emergency lighting system for the JUMP bldg, on generator - above ground only - underground parking garage not tested, addressing corrections made from the previous test on 8/21.
All previous items deqautely addressed, The following items should be addressed prior to TCO of office staff;
1. Cover all exit signs (approx. 6) for the northwest exits on the second floor office suite. This exit, and exterior exit stair, will not be used for this partial TCO.
2. Install EM lighting fixture on pole at exit gate, located on 9th street exit.
3. Cover exit signs for parking garage far west stair, that will not be utilized for this partial TCO of office staff only.
NOTE: Pathways from exit stairs, and the pedestrian walkways are currently being poured, and will be inspected later today. East exit gates will also be fitted with panic hardware devices.
