Todays inspection was just for the sixth floor. Horn/strobe placement and candella apppears to match the plans. One strobe as marked on the plans needs to be relocated 2' to the south to be within 15'-0" of the end of the corridor. We did not activate the audio/visuals. All of the heat pumps shut down when tested. The induct detectors are mounted half in and half out of the return duct openings. Per the installation guide they are to be placed a minumum six duct widths from the openings. Simplex stated that their engineers said it was ok to be installed that way. I verified with Stephanie that no such verification had been provided with this submittal. Simplex stated that they would provide this information as soon as possible. I told them to provide it to the plan reviewer. Todays testing was completed on that note.
