Modifications to the existing fire sprinkler system will be required due to remodel work. Removal of the drop ceilings and interior walls has disrupted sprinkler coverage, head listings, response time index. Refer to scope of work for conditions regarding alterations to fire sprinkler systems.

Items noted for rough-in inspection at the 3rd floor building C north end (four units and corridor) as marked/dated on stamped plans include; provide cap at the end of main per plan to meet NFPA 13 8.16.3, four additional 1 1/4 90's and piping have been added to calc area #2, maintain clearance from ceiling fans to pendent heads, overspaced coverage at one location due to a corridor wall not shown on drawings, not all light fixtures are recessed as indicated on plans, need to verify insulation or sprinkler coverage at combustible concealed spaces (chases) prior to cover, missing hanger at 1 1/4 branchline in the hall, min. spacing between heads is exceeded in the kitchen area at one unit, field modification to sprinklers and piping does not match plans in one unit (4 heads off 1" feed), missing head per plan at one ADA bathroom - provide coverage or delete and include change on plan mod, tenting at several areas insufficient and adjusted while on site. Also noted significant changes to field installation at the mechanical, data, corridor and trash rooms compared to the design and approved plan set.
