A fire alarm permit is required for the new and relocated devices (smoke and heat detectors, electrical shunt trip) and their interconnection with the existing fire alarm system. It appears that fire alarm work has already been performed since the elevator recall devices have been relocated to the new mechanical closet and new cover plates installed in the previous locations. Activation of the new fire/smoke damper needs to be addressed as well and its interconnection with the fire alarm system. The permit requirement applies to all four buildings and related building permits BLD12-00090, 91, 92 & 93. Also the emergency lighting at the 2460 address did not function when tested in the first floor lobby. Fire extinguishers appear ok.

Per John Wheeler part of this system has already been inspected by Forrest. However no record is shown on the activities. John elected to wait until Forrest is back and reschedule an inspection.
