200.4- Grounded conductor of a multiwire branch circuit shall carry only the unbalanced load. Both ungrounded conductors on same phase. Possible overload of grounded conductor.
210.23- Appliances or electrical equipment fastened in place shall not exceed 50% of the rating of branch circuit. Window mounted AC units and bath fan/light/heater combo all require dedicated circuits. Circuit overload causing sparks and smell of smoke.
400.8- Flexible cords shall not run through walls or doorways. 16-3 runs from living room to bedroom for window mounted AC unit which is burned up.
BCC 04-05-15- Licensed contractor required for repairs. Homeowners exemption does not apply to rental units.
