Fire alarm testing not performed today. The contractor needed time to hunt down a few ground faults and other trouble signals that were on the FACP. Fire sprinklers were being put into service throughout the day.
By the end of the day, all GFs and troubles were cleared, and the final dry pipe system was being put on line. Contrator agreed to pretest what he could before our inspection tomorrow (8/15).

Fire sprinklers and fire alarm devices inspected and OK for these units. A temp. wall and door assembly to be constructed in the corridor to prevent residents from going into construction zone.

Met with Elect. contractors to look at exit signage and emergency lighting for the 5 story bldg. Added a few exit signs in the parking garage to improve identification of egress paths, and added about 6/floor emergency lights in the corridors for the above floors.

Meeting with GC and electrical contractors to review upcoming exit signage and emergency lighting test, which will be scheduled for early morning (5am) to get an accuarte assessment of EMs under dusk conditions, since most of the egress from the building is outside, or open to the outside.
