(H-P BLDG. #6- EXTENSION OF EXIT CORRIDOR #6-127 TO THE WEST TO MEET CORRIDOR #6 - 121 & DEMOLITION PERMIT IN PREPARATION FOR NEW T.I.NICKEL PLATING CLEAN ROOM REMODEL) Corridor extension #6-127 to have 1-hour walls full height, floor to bottom of roof deck; rated corridor door assemblies & hardware; exit signs & illumination within corridor to meet code. To be in place and approved for use BEFORE existing exit corridor #6-131 can be demoed. (See ASI #2, Sketches #1 thru #5 & Electrical MEMO exit corridor extension attached to plans). To install a 1-hour wall W/ contamination barrier at grid line L between existing Clean Room & demo area for future when corridor #6-131 is to be removed. Demolition within an approximate 45,000 sq. ft. portion of the existing 141,800 sq. ft. building (basement & main level). To remove portions of existing interior, non-bearing, non-fire rated, walls;ceilings; mechanical, electrical & plumbing. To maintain the required existing & new portion of exit corridor systems, occupancy separations and area separation wall as now exist as part of original INKJET IJO7 project.THIS PERMIT DOES NOT AUTHORIZE ANY TYPE OF NEW CONSTRUCTION BEYOND THAT DESCRIBED ABOVE; NO ALTERATION TO STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS OR REMOVAL OF FIRE RATED CONSTRUCTION BEYOND THAT NOTED ABOVE IS ALLOWED UNTIL THE FULL TENANT IMPROVEMENT PERMIT IS ISSUED (T.I. Remodel plan submitted for review & circulation on 4/19/01, future permit BLD01-01007). The cost of the new construction under this permit will be included in the T.I. package costs. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered. The sprinkler system SHALL remain in place and be operational during the remodel. Code compliance with existing & new exits, exit signage & illumination and illumination of egress path during occupancy SHALL be maintained, as the existing occupancy use shall continue during demolition. Article 87 of the 1997 UFC "Firesafety During Construction, Alteration & Remodel" (Copy included with permit) SHALL govern fire - life safety. PC#01-264/drs
