(300 MAIN - CORE WORK) Remodel of an existing building with new building core work and dividing the building into vacant lease spaces for future office use tenants per approved plans on file. The building has a 12,028 sq. ft. first floor and will have a 6,368 sq. ft. second floor. The building also has a 1,280 sq. ft. basement for storage and mechanical/electrical equipment use. NO OCCUPANCY IS ALLOWED UNDER THIS PERMIT. Separate permits will be required for tenants to occupy any spaces. Work to include removing existing east stairway, constructing a new east stairway with handrails, new floor framing in former stair opening, new floor framing at west end of second floor, new exiting system design, providing new one-hour rated corridors/lobby & areas of refuge, new 20 minute rated doors where required, 45 minute wire glass in corridors where required, smoke/fire damper installations, new handrails/guardrails per code at existing stairways, one new exterior window installation in existing opening, new accessible core restrooms, interior finish, new suspended ceiling in some areas, some work in the basement, mechanical work, plumbing work, and electrical work.
