(SOUTHVIEW TERRACE BUILDING - UPGRADE) This building is NOT fire sprinklered. To upgrade an existing 4-hr area separation wall and to reduce the length of dead end hallways. Work is to include 4-hr fire-resistive wall infills and interior nonrated doors. This project is an upgrade intended to bring the buildings into compliance with the 1997 UBC for allowable building area and for 20 foot maximum dead end hallways. This work is according to an upgrade agreement signed by the Building Official (10-24-01), Fire Protection Engineer (11-02-01), and the Building Owner (11-05-01). According to the 1997 UBC, the hallways are NOT required to be 1-hr corridors. A letter of Compliance shall be issued after the completion of the work. Future upgrades for accessibility to the disabled will be according to the "20% rule". **CJW**
