Work to include some structural demolition work including removing a section of CMU interior bearing wall, new glulam beam installation with new 6x6 support posts and connectors, two new structural openings in existing CMU interior wall, CMU exterior wall infill in former window and overhead door openings, concrete slab work, new CMU walls to enclose a new courtyard at rear of building, some new interior walls, some new interior doors, new exterior windows and doors, interior finish, new suspended ceiling, upgrading an existing restroom to current accessibility standards, two new multiple fixture accessible restrooms with accessible showers, providing accessible hardware on all doors, constructing a one-hour rated equipment room with 45 minute rated door per architect, exterior site/parking lot modifications, mechanical work including replacing a unit with a new HVAC rooftop unit, plumbing work, and electrical work. Special Inspection is required for Hilti Hit HY-150 Adhesive Anchor installations. North and South exterior walls of this building are right on property lines and are existing one-hour rated walls with no openings and 30" minimum parapets. Nonseparated uses per IBC Section 302.3.2. A Certificate of Occupancy is to be issued when completed and approved. An interior non-bearing demolition permit was done under a separate permit, BLD03-00598.
