This project is for the construction of new interior walls in the garage of an existing single family dwelling. These walls will extend through the roof of the gagage adjacent to the upper level exterior wall where a new door opening will be cut into wall to allow upper level access to this new Elevator hoistway from the garage to the upperlevel of the dwelling. R309.2 will apply to the entire shaft and the twe (2) doors that open to the garage will be solid cor self closing or 20-minute assemblies. R-1B ok per c.r.
