(ST LUKES-4E)(PEDS SECURITY UPGRADE) A "Letter of Compliance" is required for final approval of project scope. To install two new sets of double doors with card reader access / egress and fell-safe security hardware at door 4E001 to east tower pediatric unit for night security. Normal exiting from the North, Central & West wings on this floor will be by way of the central stair enclosure and other enclosures to the west. The East Tower & ETA have their own exit enclosures and in an emergency can use the central stair enclosure. Door hardware will be fell-safe in that they will become unlocked and unsecured in the event of an emergency, power loss or alarm activation. There will also be a remote release device at nurse station indicated on plans. There will be a remote videophone to assist family visits after hours at the secured door location.
