(JACKSON JET CENTER - STORAGE ROOM IN AIRCRAFT HANGAR) This building is NOT fire sprinklered. To construct a 1,819 square foot storage room within an existing 22,400 square foot (area of 1st story at grade) aircraft hangar building. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, a new overhead door, a new interior door, and interior finishes. A small office area, two restrooms, and the small mezzanine area above will be demolished under this permit. The new storage room is classified as an S-2 Occupancy. Items stored within the new storage room are limited to noncombustible materials. This building is classified as Type II construction. Building materials are required to be noncombustible. If there are existing elements of this building that do not comply, upgrades may be required when those areas are altered. Required upgrades potentially include installing a fire sprinkler system throughout this building.
