(Emerald Street Kennels - Formerly called Doggie Day Care) (11-30-11 PLAN MODIFICATION TO CONSTRUCT A 3,770 SQUARE FOOT KENNEL ADDITION ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE ALREADY APPROVED 6,725 SQUARE FOOT BUILDING. A 850 SQUARE FOOT AREA OF THE ALREADY APPROVED 6,725 SQUARE FOOT BUILDING WILL NOT BE CONSTRUCTED. THE 850 SQUARE FOOT PORTION IS LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE 5,875 SQUARE FOOT PORTION THAT WILL BE CONSTRUCTED. THIS BUILDING WILL HAVE A TOTAL FLOOR AREA OF ABOUT 9,645 SQUARE FEET. SOME ELEMENTS OF THE ALREADY APPROVED BUILDING ARE ALSO BEING MODIFIED. ALL EXTERIOR WALLS, EXCEPT FOR THE SOUTH EXTERIOR WALL, WILL HAVE FULL HEIGHT WOOD STUD WALLS INSTEAD OF PARTIAL HEIGHT MASONRY WALLS WITH WOOD STUD WALLS ON TOP.) To construct a new 6,725 square foot, one story, wood framed dog and cat boarding and training facility and related site improvements. This facility will contain four interior dog play areas, a cat area, a small office area and a dog training room. There will also be four fenced dog runs, two on the east side of the building and two on the west. Three dog kennel wings are proposed for the north end of the building as a future second phase.
