This permit is for the complete rebuild of an existing single family dwelling destroyed by fire. The new building is a one story house with a full basement. The basement is a total of 1480 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main story is 1500 square feet with one bedroom and two bathrooms as well as an attached garage of 528 square feet. There is a covered front patio of 60 square feet and a covered back porch of 400 square feet. This house is being built to meet the prescriptive requirements of the energy code. This lot is within the hillside area and is subject to the hillside ordinances. A class "A" roof system and defensible area will be maintained. A letter from the applicant's geotechnical engineer indication that the foot sub-grade is acceptable must be approved by Public Works prior to scheduling a footing inspection. Foundations and soils to be built per the attached geotech design for 3,000 psf which will require excavating from between 3-8 feet to reach desired pressure.
