Tony Young and I met Don and Sherry (owners) on site to discuss current project status and their concerns on the patio addition. They informed us that the project had been stopped at their request until issues between them and contractor had been resolved. Many civil issues need to be addressed between them and their contractor that are beyond Boise City's responsibility. Tony and I reviwed the current status of the addition to the approved plans and to comments provided by a outside engineer. It was recommended that the new engineer provide with his report supporting calculations as to why members/connections were not adequate and options for repair, specifically the footings supporting the floor and roof loads which was also requested on inspections performed 7/7/09. I also informed owners that I would request by letter to the contractor to provide this information as originally requested. I also informed the owners to send me any further questions by email and that I would address them as well.
