To perform interior nonstructural demolition work within a 30,213 square foot building in preparation for new tenant improvement work that will be performed under permit BLD09-00946. Some interior nonbearing partitions, doors, and finishes will be removed. New work is NOT allowed under this permit. Demolition of any structural element of this building is NOT allowed under this permit. This permit does NOT establish a Certificate of Occupancy for any tenant. The fire sprinkler system and the fire alarm system shall be maintained functional as required by the Fire Department. The demolition of any element of these systems is NOT allowed without the express approval of the Fire Department. In conjunction with the tenant improvement work under permit BLD09-00946, the fire sprinkler system will be required to be upgraded to comply with current standards, including quick-response sprinklers, in order to avoid enclosed 1-hr fire-resistance-rated corridors. Elements of the existing fire sprinkler system that already comply with current standards may remain without upgrade. **CJW**
