(YMCA DOWNTOWN - BASEMENT GROUP ACTIVITY ROOM) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase. To alter an existing Exercise Room located in the basement of the Downtown YMCA. A 637 square foot Group Activity Room and a 1,598 square foot Exercise Room will be created from the existing 2,235 square foot Exercise Room. Work is to include a new interior wall and a new door. In the basement, the existing 1-hr fire-resistance-rated corridor and the horizontal exit through an existing 2-hr fire-resistance-rated fire barrier wall are required to be maintained. This new basement Group Activity Room is NOT approved for use as a daycare. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
