This project is for the removal of the structural beam in the basement of a single family dwelling and the building up of the floor joists to allow them to support the full span. There is a new larger header installed between the kitchen and living room. There is also to be new framing around the fireplace area. The kitchen ceiling is raised by using the new ceiling joists for collar ties at every rafter. Separate electrical and mechanical permits are required. R-1CH ok per Colleen Carroll.
