(MONROE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL)(REROOF AND ROOF SEISMIC ANCHORS UPGRADE) To remove existing roofing covering at wood & concrete deck areas and insulation on concrete deck portion; remove minimum 2 ft. width of plywood at perimeter of wood roofed area for installation of new anchors, screws, blocking and supports to upgrade lateral & uplift loads of the existing roof structure to existing walls; replace perimeter plywood removed to install anchors and other sheets determined to be in need of replacement per plan; install new insulation on concrete roof deck and new roofing covering system on entire roof; and install a steel frame anchored and supported from existing structural concrete beams with fiberglass, minimum 'CC2' plastic panel class, sun shade structure on south facing roof per plans and structural engineering. Special inspection required for welding,mechanical anchors & epoxy anchors per Sheet A2.1 and ICC-ES Evaluation Services Reports for each specific product. Removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials shall be in accordance with EPA requirements. Persons responsible for asbestos removal to contact local EPA for approval. drs
