To convert an existing drug rehabilitation building to a geriatric psychiatric hospital. Individuals whose psychiatric condition warrants treatment in a short term acute inpatient treatment program will be accepted for admission. Patients may include those with schizophrenic, psychotic, affective, anxiety, personality, somatoform, and/or adjustment disorders. Patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s type conditions with no psychiatric symptomotology will not be accepted. Work is to include upgrading one patient sleeping room (including the associated toilet/shower room) to be accessible to the disabled as an Accessible Sleeping Unit, upgrading a staff toilet room to be accessible to the disabled, remodeling 9 patient restrooms to comply with Type B Sleeping Unit provisions, creating an assisted bathing facility with a walk-in bathtub and an accessible shower, and installing new finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
