(Piramal Critical Care) Permit for a tenant improvement to an existing 19,035 sq. ft. building to combine all existing tenant spaces into one tenant space with work to include the removal of interior non-bearing partition walls, removal of one restroom and the extension of some of the interior partition walls up to the roof deck. The existing lighting fixtures will be reused. All work to be done per the approved plans, plan review report and any notations. This is a fully sprinklered building; any alterations to the sprinkler system will require a separate permit and shall comply with NFPA13 as regulated by the Boise City Fire Department. No Racking is allowed under this permit. A separate racking permit is required for any racking over 8 feet in height. CDM

Occupancy is not allowed without a Certificate of Occupancy per IFC 105.3.3, provide emergency lighting and one fire extinguisher in the northeast end of the warehouse, repair the emergency light in the south end of the warehouse, provide exit discharge lighting at all four warehouse exit doors, provide single action hardware on both of the west facing warehouse doors, remove the exit sign fron the door leading into the warehouse through a locked door, relocate the exit sign in the north offices to the door leading into the south offices, add fire extinguisher in the south office area with tag as discussed. The annual inspection on all of the existing fire extinguishers are nearly expired.

Also noted that a plumbing, electrical and mechanical permits were required as per scope of work. This was discussed with Bob Hosak. Bob noted that these permits were not required and did not what the electrical inspector to make a determination if an electrical permit would be required. Will discuss with Bob Archibald.

I met Bob Hosack on site while performing a sprinkler inspection. While performing the sprinkler inspection I found that an AES fire alarm transmitter had been installed without permits. I notified Bob that I would hold up the occupancy of the new tenant until this new fire alarm work had been permited, issued and passed a final inspection. I also found that the fire sprinkler system had not been inspected in ten years and I let Bob know that would also need to be addressed. I noted that one sprinkler pendant in the office area was located too close to a wall and would need to be relocated.

Noted no other trades permits have been issued at this time. Contacted Jack Frank (electrical inspector) and let him know about demo work done to this piont, and electrical permit may be required. Gave Jack the permit number, Doug Poedy to follow up as per Jack Frank. A correction notice was issued.
