The alteration will include framing in of the lower portion of the openings to allow increase the elevation of the window sills. The windows will typically be reduced from 3-0 / 6-0 to 3-0 / 4-0 putting the windows 2 feet higher that existing. the windows must meet the safety glazing requirements of sections- "2406" IBC and "502" IECC.
