(HEWLETT PACKARD - BLDG 7 - 155 AREA)(RACKING) **7-20-12 PLAN MODIFICATION TO MODIFY THE ORIGINAL RACK LOCATIONS PER THE APPROVED PLANS AND ALL OTHER REVIEWING AGENCIES APPROVALS. SRZ** To install 580 sq.ft. of pre-fabricated, steel storage racking exceeding 8' in height in a 1,078 sq. ft. area as shown on plans per structural engineering and approved plans. Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ anchors (ESR-1917) are called out to anchor racks. SPECIAL INSPECTIONS ARE REQUIRED. Work to include: To install 14 sets of racking/shelving for a total storage area of 1,078 square feet (1,530 square feet including aisles). The items to be stored will be maintenance equipment and misc. parts. Each unit will be bolted to the floor, and have more than 36" aisles between rows. The design, testing and utilization of industrial steel storage racks shall be in accordance with the RMI/ANSI MH 16.1. A Letter of Completion is to be issued when done. The existing envelope is not being affected by this permit. "This building is fully Fire Sprinklered with an approved Fire Alarm system. Any alterations or modifications to the buildings Fire Sprinkler or Fire Alarm system WILL REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT and shall be installed per NFPA 13 & NFPA 72 as regulated by the Boise Fire Department." EACH RACKING SYSTEM SHALL HAVE A PLAQUE LOCATED AT EACH RACKING SYSTEM STATING THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT TO BE STORED ON THAT PERTICULAR RACKING SYSTEM PER THE ENGINEERS CRITERIA STATED ON THE PLANS FOR EACH RACKING SYSTEM. **SRZ**

The racks along the east wall exceed 10' in height (12'-0") and they have not been placed 3" off this same wall as the plans show. They have been place 30" off of the face of the two columns. Plans need to be resubmitted showing the actual layout and racking height utilized.
