A fire sprinkler system is not required per State Amendment. To construct a 3,418 square foot two story building having two dwelling units (1,805 square foot 1st story and 1,613 square foot 2nd story). Each dwelling unit (4.a) has 2 stories and each dwelling unit has a total floor area of about 1,626 square feet (833 square foot 1st story and 793 square foot 2nd story). Neither dwelling unit is required to comply as a Type B or as a Type A dwelling unit.
