(TOY TOWN – TOWN SQUARE STATION BUILDING “B” – WEST HALF OF BUILDING) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase and for story increase. To remodel a 6,974 square foot tenant space for a retail sales tenant. This tenant space has not been occupied before. Work is to include 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, interior windows, interior doors, an entry vestibule, a “high” and a “low” drinking fountain, and interior finishes. A new 6 foot wide door opening will be created in an existing exterior masonry wall. Vertical tube steel columns will be placed on each side of the door to resist out-of-plane lateral loads and a steel header will be provided above the door to support gravity loads. Special inspection is required for welding and masonry grouting. The capacity of the existing roof to support the new roof top HVAC units shall be verified before the new units are placed on the roof. The new units are expected to weigh 758 pounds each. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**

Not really ready for a final yet. I did verify exit signs and emergency lights. I also spoke to plan review about the rear exit door being deleted. Carl Westfall is ok with it and noted it on the city approved electronic plans.
