(DAWSON TAYLOR COFFEE ROASTERS) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To convert an existing 4,816 square foot building to a coffee roasting facility. Work is to include an 18 feet by 50 feet (900 sq. ft.) exterior concrete slab on grade (4 inches thick), a restroom upgraded to be accessible to the disabled, interior nonstructural demolition, and an overhead insulated exterior door (R-4.75 minimum). The overhead door will be installed in an existing former overhead door opening after a wood infill wall is removed. Two coffee rosters will be installed. The equipment is required to be listed and labeled and vented to the outside according to that listing. Adequate clearance from combustible materials is required for chimney temperatures of 1,400 degrees continuous duty and 2,100 degrees intermittent duty. The 2-hr fire-resistance-rated party wall located on the North property line is required to be maintained. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**

Fire alarm panel located in the south east area of tenant space is not in service, power is shut off to panel and emergency battery back up is depleted, no active fire alarm system at time of inspection, tenant needs to have fire alarm panel serviced/repaired as well as an active monitoring account established. Fire extinguisher in tenant space needs to be serviced and have a current inspection tag installed, tenant needs to have another fire extinguisher installed in tenant space to cover the 75ft travel distance for code compliance. Front entry door has thumb-turn deadbolt, thumb-turn deadolt needs to be changed to a double key deadbolt and signage installed reading "Door to remain unlocked while building is occupied".
