(DOC’S BAR) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. Application for inspection to determine the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for a 580 square foot tenant space within an existing building to be used as a bar and a 540 square foot uncovered patio located behind this building to also be used as a bar. The patio is not allowed to be covered by a roof of any material, including a tent. The patio is required to be open to the sky. Small umbrellas at individual tables are allowed. This tenant will occupy the entire building but only about 350 square feet is available for public assembly within the building (135 square feet of that 350 square foot area shall be dedicated to an unobstructed aisle). This building was occupied as a bar previously. No new work is authorized under this permit except for minor work that may be needed to correct noncompliant conditions that may exist. Painting, carpeting, counter tops, and similar finish work are not required to have a permit. No change of occupancy classification is allowed under this permit. Compliance is required with the items listed in the plan review report under Referenced Code Sections because noncompliance with these items is believed to constitute a distinct hazard to life and safety. **CJW**
