(13TH STREET PUB & GRILL – NEW ROOF AND SKYLIGHT OVER PLAZA) (DRH17-00002) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To replace an existing canvas canopy with a rigid frame over the plaza with a new 850 square foot steel roof having a fiberglass skylight system. The covered plaza area will have a floor area of about 766 square feet. The existing columns will be maintained. The existing primary beams will be altered to accommodate the new beams. Work is to include new concrete footings, new steel columns, new steel beams, a steel roof deck, tapered rigid insulation installed on top of the roof deck to create slopes for drainage (no flatter than 1/4” vertical per 12” horizontal), scuppers through parapets, a single ply roof membrane, curbs for the new skylight system, a new 261 square feet skylight system, and finishes. The structural design for the skylight system is a deferred submittal item. The skylight is required to comply as a Class C roof assembly. Special Inspection is required for soils and for steel (including welding and bolting). The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
