Application for inspection to determine the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for an existing 2,311 square foot building (1,129 square feet basement and 1,182 square feet 1st story) to be used as a dance studio. This building formerly was a church. The basement has two interior means of egress the converge with the 1st story means of egress. No new work is authorized under this permit except for minor work that may be needed to correct noncompliant conditions that may exist. All new work is required to comply with the provisions of the 2012 IBC. Painting, carpeting, counter tops, shelves, and similar finish work are not required to have a building permit.
