(IDAHO POWER BOISE OPERATIONS CENTER – LINEMAN TRAINING FACILITY – NEW BUILDING) (DRH19-00355) (CUP18-00018) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase and for fire flow. Grading work was done under permit GRD19-00099. The foundation was done under permit BLD20-01025 but, since they are not identical, the drawings and design under this permit (i.e. BLD19-04682) govern. To construct a 15,359 square foot building to function as a lineman training facility for Idaho Power (16,397 square feet including covered patios). Work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, concrete piers, concrete slabs on grade, concrete columns, 2x6 wood stud and engineered lumber stud exterior walls, wood headers, tube steel and pipe columns with steel base plates and caps, plywood sheathed shear walls and hold downs, cavity and rigid wall insulation, corrugated metal wall panels, flat metal wall panels, brick veneer, exposed concrete walls, exposed masonry walls, exterior windows, exterior doors, steel awnings, steel bar roof joists, steel roof deck, wood roof beams, wood roof joists, wood roof sheathing, minimum R-20 continuous rigid insulation installed on top of the roof deck with minimum R-18 fiberglass insulation installed below and up against the underside of the roof deck, minimum R-30 continuous rigid insulation installed on top of the roof deck, plastic skylights, solar tubes, membrane roof coverings, roof primary and secondary drains, scuppers, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board ceilings and soffits, interior nonbearing walls, two multi-user toilet rooms accessible to the disabled, interior doors, interior folding partitions, millwork, and finishes. Special Inspection is required for soils, for concrete, for anchors post-installed in hardened concrete, for masonry, for steel (including welding and bolting), and for wind resistance. Exterior work includes the adjacent parking lot (this permit does not include the remote parking lot), a masonry trash enclosure with steel gates, steel chain link security fences, wrought iron security fences, vehicular lift gates, mechanical screen fences at grade, and roof ladders. A separate permit is required for the Commercial Photovoltaic system on the roof. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
