** ADA COUNTY COURTHOUSE** This building is not fire sprinkled. To remove an existing fire escape on the West side of the Northeast wing and to construct a new exterior stairway for exiting from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors at the same location. Work is to include concrete footings, steel columns, beams, stair treads, guardrails, and handrails. Doors with a fire-protection rating of 45 minutes are to be installed on the 2nd floor and in new door openings on the 3rd and 4th floors. Windows below and within 10' horizontally of the stairway are to be protected with 45 minute assemblies also. All work shall comply with the approved drawings, engineering, and plan check notes on file. PC-536-95 CJW March 14, 1996 - A request to leave one window (below and withing 10 feet horizontally of the stairway) openable in courtroom #303 for fresh air was approved by Tim Hogland, Building Director.
