(MCCARTY BUILDING) Fire sprinklers used to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistive construction. To renovate an existing 4 story (5,628 sq. ft. per floor) historic building. The building has a full basement. Work is to include seismic upgrades (masonry shear walls and concrete foundations, tieing walls to floor diaphragms, etc.), two new 2-hr fire-resistive stair enclosures, East side 4-hr area separation wall, a fire sprinkler system throughout, 6 restrooms accessible to the disabled, an elevator accessible to the disabled, some 45 minute window assemblies at the alley, new roof covering, and interior doors and windows all per approved drawings, engineering, and plan check conditions on file.
