To remove existing 100 ton chiller unit from existing pad site in mechanical room an operating control. To install a new 100 ton chiller unit, controls, refrigerant detection system, fresh air and exhaust air ducts and accessory equipment while maintaining the integrity of the existing 2-hour shaft / mechanical room construction and existing opening protection into these areas. All per 1997 UMC, Chapter 11 and 1994 UFC, Article 64. New refrigerant to be used is R134a. This is not a Refrigeration Machinery Room per reported data from Musgrove Engineering, Preston Nance. Copy of report attached to plans. Prior to use of the new system, final inspection and approval is required from the electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire departments and then structural inspector.
