Owner has dug out under the slab,to obtain frost depth for the addition which was built with out permits,this is to help correct the problem,now the addition will have concrete below frost depth at the perimeter under existing slab,still need to add the same behind the a/c unit,he has told me this will be done and inspected to verify at a second pour.Note slab to footing will have a cold joint,as built with out permits and the footing added is to hep correct the problem, A permit should have been obtained first and footings should have been to frost depth to start with.
