We enclosed 2 open-air splices in attic in j-boxes. Replaced the existing hallway smoky with a new one and wired from it to a new smoky in the bedroom nearest the garage. Replaced the ceiling box for the living room paddle fan with a Fansafe box, and replaced the extension cord that fed it with romex. Wired in a new switch to control the existing garage light.
