This project will provide design solutions for the realignment of the existing angled segment of Taxiway K at the west end of Taxiway K, including the reconstruction of the intersection of Taxiways J, F, and K.

The extent of the Taxiway K realignment is understood to include the following area: Starting on Taxiway J at the south side of the UPS Apron; Extending to the intersection of Taxiways J, F, and K; and continuing southeast on Taxiway K to the east/west alignment of Taxiway K; a distance of approximately 1,000 feet and inclusive of the Taxiway J,F,and K intersection.

The scope of the work will require the realignment of Taxiway K to provide ADG IV taxiway abject free clearance from existing hangars on the west side of the taxiway and improve line of sight with the new Air Traffic Control Tower. Full-depth reconstruction in asphalt concrete is anticipated for both the taxiway and the taxiway shoulder. Grading and drainage improvements will be required, including the installation of underdrains and new drainage structures as necessary. New taxiway edge lights and signage will be required.
