Description
(THE IDANHA HOTEL) This building is fire sprinklered per 1994 UCBC provisions to allow it to be too tall and too big. To convert floors 2 through 6 of a former hotel to apartment units (53 renovated units). Work is to include upgrade of the existing fire sprinkler system to meet current NFPA 13 (1996) installation requirements throughout. Also included is new Class 1 standpipes. Related new projects are: a new 2-hr stair enclosure, a fire alarm system, seismic upgrade, two apartments accessible to the disabled, two street level entrance canopies, a new built up roof covering, all per approved drawings, engineering, and plan review conditions on file. This permit does not establish a Certificate of Occupancy for any tenant in the basement or on the first floor. Floor zoning was negotiated and allowed modification by Dave Miller (Fire Department) for 3 separate zoned areas: Basement, First Floor, and Apartments. DRH99-00218 *JWA* (07/13/00). BLD99-03148 and demolition permit BLD99-03653 was approved.
