Description
Modifying existing FA alarm system, which monitors the fire sprinkler fire sprinkler system, including existing sprinkler waterflow and valve tamper and existing manual pull stations in this building. Adding a/v annuciation in basement, 1st floor and mezzanine. To leave existing annunciation on 2nd floor as is and upgrade it by Nov.1, 2001, per agreement with Dave Miller, BCFD. On all levels are adding smoke detection for elevator smoke doors and recall functions, duct detectors for all fire/smoke dampers and for HVAC AHU shut down, and area detectors over new NAC panels. Three new NAC power panels are being added for the new annunciation circuits, (two in the basement, one on the mezzanine level. Plans also show a second NAC panel (#200) on the mezzanine level but it is understood this NAC is intended to power the new a/v devices on the second floor, so it will not be installed until t the time when the second floor av's are upgraded. A new permit will be required at that time for the second floor alarm upgrade work.

There are two other FIR permits attached to this permit. Joe Tawney had made an entry approving the fire alarm upgrade on one of the permits. All three permits are for basically the same scope of work. I spoke to John Hatten with HP and he was going to look for documentation that Joe had signed off the entire project which it appears that he has. 6/23/2003 11:40:06 AM
