FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH - Revised 6/1/2001 per resubmittal - to replace an existing fire alarm panel with a new addressable FA panel and an intelligent distributed power module to which the existing non-addressable devices will be connected. The building is non-sprinklered so no offsite alarm monitoring is required nor to be provided. The A2.1 occupancy requires a building manual alarm system, but the Fire Department has given approval to a 6-year upgrade agreement for the additional pull devices required on the basement and 2nd floor level (adequate pull devices are to be provided on the first floor) and for the additional audible/visual alarm annunciation required throughout the building. The new alarm system will include smoke detection for elevator recall purposes, monitoring of integral smoke detectors on door hold-open devices in a new rated wall in the TI permit area, and one horn/strobe in the existing 1st floor office. Note: The Building TI permit is for a 2-story and basement addition, to include an elevator & accessible restrooms, and a remodel (code upgrade) of west stairway.
