H-P (CHEMICAL SERVICE BLDG) - To install manual fire alarm and hazardous material emergency pull stations, automatic smoke detection, and fire and HM emergency alarm notification devices as required by the UFC for the various occupancy groups and hazardous materials in this building, connected to the existing site fire alarm system via the existing node 11 FAC panel.
The building permit (BLD01-01169) is to remodel the 9,072 sq. ft. Chemical Storage portion of the 45,913 sq. ft, Building #6-West, to create rooms & areas for use as storage and distribution of hazardous materials to serve the "H-6" occupancy, fabrication area located in H.P. #6-East. To construct or upgrade the existing firewalls between "H" to "H" occupancies and "H" to "B/S1" occupancies"; to provide mechanical, electrical, drainage, fire suppression sprinkler system, alarm notification systems and distribution systems to conform with current adopted City of Boise codes and ordinances. NOTE: The entire HP Building #6 (East - West 1st & 2nd floors & basement) is listed as being currently sprinklered. Hazardous Materials Inventory Statement provided by Winslow Partnership is used to establish UBC & UFC requirements. A"Certificate of Occupancy" for the entire HP#6- E/W Occupancy is required at the final approval of the Chem Storage & Nickel Plating / Fabrication expansion project. PC#01-378/drs
