*ST. LUKES -WAREHOUSE STORAGE* To modify portions of 2 existing wet pipe fire sprinkler systems, of approximately 17,056 ft/2 area for the density/area protection requirements of High Rack Storage Systems. The work entails the installation of new mains, lines, heads and appurtenance and eliminating existing mains, lines, heads and appurtenance. The existing system will be maintained in an operable condition while the new system is installed next to, and around it. Change over (shut down time) into new piping system will be kept to a minimum. Also included in this permit is fire hose stations required under UFC 8102.9. Verification of UFC Article 81, "High Plied Combustible Storage" building requirements will have to be verified under this permit, prior to allowance for high rack storage use over 12'-0" elevation. All fire sprinkler installation, design, and related work shall be per the plans, documents, UFC, NFPA (related and adopted pamphlets), BCO, as regulated by the Fire Department.
