RIVER WALK APARTMENTS - To install a fire alarm system in a new 3-story plus loft, apartment building. An elevator connects a grade level parking garage building with the apartment building above, with a 3 hour separation between the two "buildings". The alarm system will provide monitoring of the automatic sprinkler system in the apartment building and elevator recall. The sprinkler system will be used to substitute for the required manual alarm system in the R1 occupancy. The building permit (BLD01-00531) is for Section 1 of 3. Two hour area separation walls will be constructed to divide this apartment building into separate buildings. Section #1 is three stories, 33 units, above a three hour occupancy separation per UBC Section 311.2.2.1 making it a separate building from the parking garage beneath. The first floor is 9,837 sq ft, the second is 9,837 sq ft, the third floor is 9,837 sq ft with 1,500 sq.ft. for mezzanines.
