SLRMC -2ND FLOOR, MATERNITY/ INFANT CARE - To provide relays in the existing fire alarm system to release the proposed egress control latching devices upon any waterflow or smoke detection alarm condition on the alarm system zone within the "egress-controlled" area. The building permit (BLD01-1602) is to install 'Special Egress Control Devices', providing delayed egress hardware to five existing doors (four stair enclosure's and opposite swing, double doors between West & Central Wings) on the 2nd floor, as an approved alternate, allowing the "I1.1" occupancy to meet exiting requirements and at the same time provide increased security to new mothers & babies within the 2nd floor maternity complex. Note: This building is fully sprinklered with a smoke detection / alarm system throughout. A "LETTER OF COMPLETION/ COMPLIANCE" IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION OF THIS PERMIT TO SHOW INSPECTION & APPROVAL OF THE NEW HARDWARE BY THE FIRE & BUILDING DEPARTMENTS.
