(ST LUKES-WEST WING-1ST FLR) To remove and reinstall fire sprinklers in a 4,975 ft/2 remodel area located at the north end of the 1st floor to convert from patient rooms to offices per approved plans on file. This area was demolished under building permit BLD00-00081in conjunction with the new stair enclosure, IW008. Seismic upgrades were done under BLD00-02394. This permit is attached to related building permit BLD01-00539 work with the construction of interior wall framing, new suspended ceiling grid system, a portion of the 2-hour exit passageway (that will serve as an extension of the interior two hour stair enclosure, serving the upper floors), and a new exterior exit system, stairs & entry between grid lines 'I' to 'K'. NOTE: Phase "B" will be remodeled under separate permit when Phase "A" is completed. This building requires full sprinkler protection. All fire sprinkler work shall meet minimum installation requirements of NFPA 13-1999, as directed by the UFC and regulated by the Fire Department.
