HILLCREST BUSINESS CENTER - To install a new fire alarm system in this existing building. The system will include monitoring of the new fire sprinkler system to be installed and will include monitoring of HVAC duct smoke detectors for air handler shut down, and offsite monitoring.
NOTE: this building is connected to an existing, non-sprinklered building at 4620 Overland, which is to be sprinklered in the future under an letter of agreement approved by the Building Department.
The sprinkler plans for this building have been approved and issued under FIR02-00226.
The associated building permit (BLD 99-03216) is to refurbish the exterior of this existing building by adding new decorative EPS columns around existing trellis columns; add new prefab steel louvers w/ a steel column centered for support between louvers on new concrete pier; EIFS system as indicated; new paint; new engineered roof truss' (DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEM PER 106.3.4.2 UBC) & support structure overbuild of existing roof; add barrel roof at South entry over new 1st floor vestibule & second floor expansion w/ engineered support system; new landing, stairs & accessible ramp; restroom upgrade for accessibility compliance on first floor; and interior upgrades as noted for current code at handrails & guardrails of existing stairways; and other misc. items as per approved plans, notes & attached plan review comments.
