Lowell Scott Middle School Remodel - To install a new fire alarm system serving the existing school facility, including the detached gymnasium and portable buildings. The system includes a manual fire alarm system, monitoring of the fire sprinkler system, monitoring of duct detectors for HVAC air handler shut down, in-duct detectors for smoke damper release, area smoke detectors for release of door hold-opens, and a/v annunciation.
The associated building permit (BLD 02-00937) is for life safety upgrades and classroom remodels which includes a new fire sprinkler system through out, area separations, new mechanical systems, new fire alarm, new handicapped restrooms and other improvements per approved plans and attachments. Fire sprinklers used for area and special approval for an alternate to comply with the 2000 IBC for area and exit provisions per T. Hogland, letter attached to plans.
