YMCA Exercise Room - To raise the existing ceiling-mounted, smoke detectors, from below a dropped ceiling which is being removed, to the underside of the roof deck; each detector will remain in its same position relative to the floor plan. The solid covering existing on the truss webs is to be removed.
The associated building permit (BLD 02-01697) is to add a protective coating to the existing spray-on fire proofing on the structural members at the ceiling in accordance with ICBO Report ER-1244. Other work includes new light fixtures, revised HVAC Ducts, revised fire sprinkler heads and fire alarm. Demo of the existing suspended ceiling is under permit # BLD02-01696
