SCP GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES - Rack storage area - To add monitoring of a new electric fire pump and associated new valves, and to add horn/strove coverage in the rack storage area, powered from a new NAC power extender panel, all connected to the existing building fire alarm system.
The associated building permit (BLD 02-00752) is to install storage racks within two separate storage areas, one area of 11,968 sq ft and one area of 4,407 sq ft. Work to include, relocation of one 20 minute rated exit door and patching corridor wall, and installation of low rack storage in Warehouse #103 and receiving area #104/ (Warehouse area # 134), installation of 340 lf of 20 ft high, 6 ft wide wire shelving, 302 lf 16 ft high pallet racking, 52 lf of 17'8" high carousel storage, 60 lf ft of 16 ft high pallet storage above 6' storage racks, and miscellaneous 6 ft to 8 ft high storage.
The associated fire sprinkler permit (FIR02-00307) is to install upgrade fire protection for miscellaneous single & double row pallet racks (no solid shelves), incorporating the storage of Class IV, non-encapsulated commodities with 6'-0"+ aisles widths, to a maximum 22'-0" elevation, within two separate storage areas. One area is 11,968 ft/2 and the other area is 4,407 ft/2. Work to include, the modification of existing wet system riser for the installation of a 1500gpm/100 psi 125 horsepower Fire Booster Pump with Controller, 2 horsepower Jockey Pump with Controller, removing 169 existing heads and replacing with, Central Model K17-231 Standard Response/Standard Coverage sprinklers, installing approximately 235 feet of 4" bulk main and 126 feet of cross main, connected to the existing south side gridded lines.
