ST LUKES-MSTI LOBBY - To add a magnetic door hold-open device and smoke detectors for release of the door hold open, connected to the existing fire alarm system.
The associated building permit (BLD 02-02336) is to perform minor remodel behind the Greeter Station in the lobby per approved plans on file. Work includes removal of portion of existing cabinetry, installation of a new 20-minute rated door assembly in existing 1-hour corridor wall per section 1004.3.4, '97 UBC, to provide direct access to area noted as Central Control on plans. All framing to be non-combustible with 1-hour fire-resistive sheetrock covering and finish per chapter 8 of UBC. A "Letter of Completion / Compliance" is required for this project.
